Senior Software Engineer (Simulation Tools Developer)

JOB LOCATION – San Jose, California USA

DESCRIPTION
In this position, the successful candidate will play a key role on Netronome’s tools development team creating software to support a complex, high-performance Network Processor SoC by enhancing legacy cycle accurate C simulations, as well as innovating new simulator designs to simulate our customers’ advanced parallel network processing applications. The successful candidate will work closely with the tools development team to produce predictable and high-measurable quality releases that enable our customers to effectively develop high-performance applications on our NFP family of processors.

QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate would also have the right combination of technical and interpersonal skills including:

  • Very strong background in cycle-accurate simulator design, coding and verification
  • Strong background in computer architecture
  • Expertise in C and C++ development using Microsoft Visual Studio, the Intel C/C++ Compiler and GCC
  • Experience using Linux and open source tools and a contributor to open source projects
  • Experience with network protocols
  • Experience with parallel systems
  • Experience with the Intel IXP2XXX Processor family
  • Ability to quickly comprehend new challenges and plan the necessary tasks to meet overall objectives in a timely manner
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently with little supervision

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Senior Software Engineer (Compiler Tools Developer)

JOB LOCATION – San Jose, California USA

DESCRIPTION
In this position, the successful candidate will play a key role in Netronome’s tools development team creating software to support a complex, high-performance Network Processor SoC, by enhancing legacy compiler and assembler tools, as well as creating new tools for many core applications. The successful candidate will work closely with the tools development team to produce predictable and high-measurable quality releases that enable our customers to effectively develop high-performance applications on our NFP family of processors.

QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate would also have the right combination of technical and interpersonal skills including:

  • Very strong background in C compiler and supporting tools’ design, coding and verification
  • Extensive knowledge of structured assembly on multiple ISAs
  • Extensive knowledge of ANSI C and several of its variants
  • Strong background in embedded software development techniques, specifically cross-compilation
  • Expertise in Visual Studio C++ development and the Intel C/C++ Compiler
  • Expertise in the EDG C front-end and/or Sparse; expertise in GCC internals
  • Expertise in GNU binutils, specifically AS & LD
  • Expertise in OpenMP, MPI and/or a background in tools development for parallel systems
  • Experience using Linux and open source tools and a contributor to open source projects

SoC Verification Engineer

JOB LOCATION – San Jose, California USA

DESCRIPTION
In this position, the successful candidate will be playing a key role in the logic verification of a high-performance network processor SoC, primarily testbench development (writing of stimulus generators, monitors/checkers, bus functional models, random test generation modules, simulation control, etc.), verification (test-plan development, test writing, simulation/debug, code/functional coverage) and automating steps, where applicable. The responsibilities may extend to executing gate-level simulation, as well. The successful candidate will be working closely with the architects, RTL design engineers and other verification engineers to ensure that the verification requirements are well-understood, coordinated and subsequently executed.

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 8-10 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 6-8 years of relevant experience.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Very strong background in logic design, coding and verification
  • Expertise in Verilog, SystemVerilog, Cadence NC-Verilog simulator, Perl scripting
  • Expertise in development of verification components -- stimulus generators including random test generation, monitors/checkers, scoreboards, bus functional models, testbenches
  • Expertise in coverage measurement and analysis using functional coverage, assertions and code coverage
  • Experience with integrating third-party verification IP is a plus, as is familiarity with C/C++, and PCIe/DDR2-3/SPI4 protocols
  • Experience doing gate-level simulation is also desirable

Technical Marketing & Sales Engineer

JOB LOCATION – Boxborough, MA USA (Boston area) or San Jose, CA USA

DESCRIPTION
In this position, the successful candidate will play a direct role in the marketing and sales of high-performance network processors. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing customers with technical product and tools support, as well as planning, driving and overseeing the collateral development and customer training program. In addition, the responsibilities will include assisting design engineering with new product definition (by working with key customers to capture product requirements) and working with marketing, sales and customers to define, plan and deliver product performance benchmarks and demos.

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates must possess a BSCS/EE with 5+ years of relevant experience and possess excellent oral and written English communication skills and solid presentation skills with a willingness to travel. Specific qualifications include:

  • Experience and understanding of network protocols, software, systems and equipment
  • Familiarity with Intel® IXP2XXX Network Processors
  • Knowledge of common system hardware interfaces (PCI-Express, SPI-4.2, QDR SRAM, XUAI, & DDR2)
  • Experience with embedded systems development and debugging techniques
  • Capability of S/W programming, troubleshooting, performance analysis in embedded systems environment
  • Knowledge of OS internals, binary utilities and C libraries in Linux, xBSD, VxWorks or similar operating systems

Senior Circuit Design Engineer

JOB LOCATION – San Jose, California USA

DESCRIPTION
The successful applicant’s responsibilities will include:

  • Custom circuit design of high-speed datapath and memory
  • Block/unit level planning
  • Implement low skew clock distribution network
  • Perform static timing, power, noise and reliability analyses
  • Perform detailed SPICE simulations, as required
  • Complete physical verification (LVS/DRC), DFT, DFM to ensure correctness and manufacturability
  • Integrate the design into full chip and achieve design closure

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates will have experience with the following:

  • BSEE/MSEE/PhD with 5-10 years of relevant high-speed design experience

Netronome is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to sell its next-generation, high-performance Network Processor, Network Flow Engine H/W and S/W to targeted Networking OEMs and Network Appliance Vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified Candidates will have the following background:

  • Proven track record of selling silicon and hardware to target accounts: Network OEMs and Network Appliance Vendors – 7+ years experience is a plus.
  • Proven track record of OEM sales and managing relationships with large, complex organizations
  • Ability to present technical solutions to engineering and product management target customers.
  • Work out of home office and willing to travel 40% of the time.
  • Successful track record of expanding sales into new regions and target accounts.
  • Education – BA/BS – Business, Comp Science, EE – MBA plus.
