OpenStack is coming to Barcelona this October and Netronome will be there. The OpenStack Summit is the most important gathering of IT leaders, telco operators, cloud administrators, app developers and OpenStack contributors building the future of cloud computing.

OpenStack networking utilizes OVS, Linux Bridges/Firewall and Contrail vRouter for delivering networking and security services to VMs. When such functions are implemented using x86 cores in a server, the performance penalty and CPU consumption tax are unacceptable. Agilio SmartNIC with Agilio software deliver hardware-based acceleration to OpenStack networking bringing back much needed efficiency.

The Netronome solution enhances the respective OpenStack networking plug-ins for OVS, Contrail vRouter, Linux Bridge/Firewall to enable OpenStack to preserve automation of VM provisioning, startup, and shutdown while accelerating sophisticated networking and security services to VMs.
