Santa Clara, CA – February 25, 2014 – Netronome, the leading developer of flow processors, today announced that the company will be demonstrating reference platforms designed to scale cyber security applications to 100 Gbps at RSA 2014. The solution, consisting of Netronome’s flow processors, acceleration cards, and software, accelerates standard x86 platforms in SDN networks and network functions virtualization (NFV) designs.
Taking place from February 24-28 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, RSA 2014 brings industry leaders and security experts together to examine the latest advances in technology and discuss security challenges facing organizations. Netronome’s demonstration in booth 1427 includes intrusion detection and prevention, deep packet inspection, and network monitoring, all under SDN control.
“SDN and NFV are having a revolutionary impact on the way networks are designed and built,” said Jarrod Siket, senior vice president, marketing at Netronome. “As these new technologies are deployed, the security aspects need to be carefully considered. Netronome’s solutions bring security into the SDN conversation, which has previously been ignored.”
